"We are drowning in information but starved for knowledge" - John Naisbitt

-I think this is profoundly true in our culture right now. There is so much information, so many web pages, infinite pictures, and thousands of web authors out there (including us) that it is hard to find true wisdom or knowledge. Even the kind of knowledge that used to be passed down from generation to generation is being lost in the maze of information that saturates every facet of our lives. For example, I cannot contextualize many of the sayings of my mother and grandmother. I wonder if anything can have permanence anymore or if we can ever truly say that we have found wisdom easily in the future, but perhaps that will open us up to determine what is wisdom in the future.
